ViewPoint Computer Lab

The computer lab (Map) is maintained by volunteer members of the ViewPoint Computer Club. It is available for use by all ViewPoint residents for a fee at specific times and days. The lab is also used by the Computer Club for training classes for its members.

COMPUTER LAB INFORMATION

The computer lab consists of 10 Dell desktop Windows systems running both XP and Vista. Typically, half the systems are running XP and the other half running Vista. All systems have a high speed DSL connection for fast internet access. The lab has a laser printer connected to all the computers.

Applications installed on these systems include:

  • Microsoft Office 2007 Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Google Earth

  • Roxio Easy DC & DVD Burning

Residents can use the systems to:

  • Surf the internet

  • Access their email

  • Download photos from digital cameras and store them on a personal flash drive, CD or DVD

  • Create word processer, spreadsheet or presentation documents

  • Play games

Usage for ViewPoint residents is available in 1/4 hour sessions*. Punch Cards can be purchased at the ViewPoint Box Office.

5 Sessions - $5. includes 5 printed pages**

10 Sessions - $10. includes 10 printed pages**

20 Sessions - $20. includes 20 printed pages**

* A single visit will be limited to 3 sessions (45 minutes) if others are waiting.

  • Usage of these computers may cause dissatisfaction with what you have at home!!!
  • Bring your USB Flash Drive, CD or DVD to save your work.
